On April 28, the Shanghai Municipal Government jointly launched e-commerce platforms such as Pinduoduo and iBailian, as well as more than 20 representative foreign trade enterprises, to jointly launch a large-scale event to turn exports to domestic consumption.

Xu Kunlin, vice mayor of Shanghai, Shang Yuying, deputy secretary general of the municipal government, and Dada, co-founder of Pinduoduo, and Xu Ziying, president of Bailian Group, attended the launching ceremony, and jointly started the event.

As one of the important steps of the “May 5th Shopping Carnival”, this event was led by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce and was undertaken by e-commerce platforms such as Pinduoduo.

This will also help a number of local boutique foreign trade enterprises in Shanghai to vigorously expand the domestic demand market during the special period when exports are blocked due to overseas epidemics.
