China Unicom and ZTE signed a 6G joint strategic cooperation agreement, on May 17, according to a report by C114.com.cn.

China Unicom said that the two parties will cooperate on 6G technology innovation and standards, and will actively promote the deep integration of 6G with satellite networks, Internet of Things, Internet of Vehicles, and industrial Internet.

ZTE stated that the two parties will conduct research on 6G high-potential key technologies, including space-ground integration information technology, terahertz communication technology, and visible light communication technology.
