Chuxin Capital announced the completion of the Pre-A+ round of capital increase for Unitree Robotics. The company’s existing investor Sequoia Capital China also poured in some cash. At the end of 2019, Unitree Robotics received a tens of millions of yuan in its Pre-A round from Sequoia Capital China.

Unitree Robotics was established in August 2016, focusing on the development of quadruped mobile platforms and related power system components. So far, four robots including Laikago, Laikago Pro, AlienGo and Unitree A1 have been developed.

Among them, Laikago began to accept intent orders since 2017, and Laikago Pro began to formally accept orders, start production and shipment in the first half of 2018. At present, the overseas orders accounts for about 60%of the company’s orders, and the internationally renowned Internet and related companies have basically purchased the Unitree’s robots.

Unitree A1 robot is one of Unitree’s main products, mainly for the education market. Compared with the AlienGo quadruped robot released in 2019, which is positioned on the industry’s universal mobile platform, the A1 robot is more lightweight and integrates functions such as high-definition image transmission, automatic following, and open programming interfaces. It is the first step of a high-performance quadruped robot into the life of ordinary people.
