Recently, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Water Resources has unveiled the evaluation standards for river and lake ecology, which include multiple indicators like water safety, aquatic organism, aquatic habitat, water space, and public satisfaction. The public can participate in the giving feedback and comments.

The evaluation results are divided into four grades: excellent, good, moderate, and poor. “Moderate” means the ecology of rivers and lakes is in a sub-health state, and “poor” means major ecological problems have occurred.
