Bouffalo Lab has received tens of millions of dollars in Series B financing round in February. The investment was led by Sequoia Capital China and joined by China Growth Capital, Qiming Venture Partners, and MFund.

Established in 2016, Bouffalo Lab is a developer of semiconductor chips designed to enable a full range of Internet of Things services.

The company’s chips are mainly used in smart homes, smart cities, smart manufacturing, intelligent robots, communication equipment, in-vehicle intelligent systems, and smart wearable systems, enabling customers to use them in low-power wireless microcontrollers and application processor platforms.

Bouffalo Lab has established R&D centers in Nanjing Jiangbei New District, Shanghai Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Area, and Hsinchu, Taiwan, with a 100-strong team.

While strengthening product marketing, the company is accelerating the research and development of next-generation AIoT / edge computing system chip products, upgrading to the latest wireless technologies such as WiFi6 / BLE5.X and RISC-V / new-generation NPU computing platforms.
