Alibaba Cloud to build China’s first intelligent maritime control platform in Zhejiang

On June 4, Zhejiang Maritime Safety Administration and Alibaba Cloud signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement.
The two parties will cooperate to establish the country’s first intelligent maritime control platform to ensure the safety of marine traffic, improve transportation efficiency, and help the development of the marine economy.

The two parties will cooperate to establish the country’s first intelligent maritime control platform to ensure the safety of marine traffic, improve transportation efficiency, and help the development of the marine economy.

According to reports, the platform will integrate and upgrade existing sea-aware positioning systems (location-aware systems), access to low-orbit satellite AIS, to improve remote sea monitoring and communication capabilities.

They establish an maritime cloud database, and analyze and predict real-time ship activities, maritime meteorology, and tidal data through the maritime cloud computing center to form a global picture of them.
