Tencent’s RMB45 billion AI supercomputing center starts construction

Tencent’s Yangtze River Delta Artificial Intelligence Supercomputing Center and Industrial Base project started construction in Songjiang, Shanghai on the 6th, with an estimated investment of over 45 billion yuan and an area of 236 acres.

The supercomputing center will become the largest artificial intelligence supercomputing hub in the Yangtze River Delta and the top three in the country.

It is expected to be put into use at the end of 2021, and will undertake various large-scale AI algorithm calculation, machine learning, image processing, scientific calculation and engineering calculation tasks.
