China reached 34,354 hospitals in 2019: report

As of the end of 2019, there were 3.87 million licensed (assistant) physicians, 4.445 million registered nurses, and 842,000 rural doctors and health workers.

In 2019, the hospital’s average outpatient cost per visit was 290.8 yuan, a year-on-year price increase of 6.1% and a comparable price of 3.1%; per capita hospitalization cost was 9848.4 yuan, a year-on-year price increase of 6.0% and a comparable price of 3.0% . The average daily hospitalization cost is 1079.1 yuan.
