China Maple Leaf Educational Systems plans to acquire Canadian International School (CIS), the largest for-profit international school in Singapore, for 3.4 billion yuan.

China Maple Leaf Educational Systems plans to acquire Canadian International School (CIS), the largest for-profit international school in Singapore, for 3.4 billion yuan.

The acquisition was completed in two stages, and 90% of the shares will be acquired in the early stage.

After the acquisition is completed, CIS will increase the total number of students currently available for Maple Leaf Education by more than 4,100. The total number of students that can be accommodated in the enlarged group increase to more than 71,300, an increase of 6%.

The total number of students enrolled in Maple Leaf Education will increase from 43,500 to 47,000, an increase of 8%.
