ZifiSense releases world’s lowest cost LPWAN chip

After mass production, the cost of this chip can be controlled within 30% of similar chips.

The chip is called ZETag cloud tag and uses the ZETA communication standard. It has the advantages of small size and 3-5 km long-distance transmission with low power consumption.

The chip will be manufactured using Socionext Inc’s 22nm process in Japan and will be available in July 2021.

In the field of low-power IoT technology, ZETA has become the world’s first LPWAN communication standard supporting distributed networking as early as a few years ago, and it has also become the first domestic wide-area application by operators in developed countries such as Japan and Singapore.
