MofCom works with China Post to promote rural and cross-border e-commerce

The Ministry of Commerce, the State Post Bureau, and China Post Group Co., Ltd. jointly issued a framework agreement for cooperation.

The Ministry of Commerce, the State Post Bureau, and the China Post Group Co., Ltd. jointly issued a framework agreement for cooperation.

According to the agreement, the three parties will cooperate in 12 areas, five of which are directly related to revitalizing the rural economy.

The three parties will work together to develop a modern rural logistics network, and to further promote the “Express to the West”, improving the operation and service capabilities of the rural e-commerce sites.

In addition, the agreement will strengthen their cooperation in poverty alleviation by broadening the marketing channels for agricultural products in the poverty-stricken areas.

Moreover, the three parties will cooperate in promoting the development of cross-border e-commerce, as well as promoting the integration of brand consumption and quality consumption in the e-commerce field.
