On July 10, a medical insurance service app “XiangYibao” was officially launched in Hunan’s capital city, Changsha. (“Xiang” is a Chinese abbreviation for Hunan, and “Yibao” means medical insurance in Chinese.)

It was proposed that all the cities and prefectures in Hunan Province should promote this app and achieve full coverage of electronic payment by scanning the medical insurance code on the app before the end of 2020.

The app has 29 modules in 5 categories, including hospital registration, medicine purchases by insurance, medical insurance payment, medical insurance settlement, and information inquiry.

It can realize the interconnection and sharing of information with other health apps, as well as those recruitment, human resources and social security apps.

At present, there are 5 million people’s electronic certificates that have been activated in Hunan.

The app has covered more than 500 medical institutions and monitored 5.767 million poverty-stricken people in the national medical insurance system.
