On July 21, JadeBird Vision has completed an angel round of financing led by THG Ventures, and has now launched a new round of financing.

The funds raised will be mainly used for product standardized mass production, more functional development and user expansion to help more low vision users see things clearly, better understand and integrate into the world.

Founded in 2018, JadeBird Vision is positioned as a machine vision solution provider. The company mainly relies on optics, VR, AI, models and algorithms to provide vision aids for people with impaired vision that cannot be cured by current medicine.

JadeBird launched its flagship product, Biyu Smart Vision Aid, from the perspective of several dimensions such as ease of use, effectiveness and usage scenarios.

As for the team, JadeBird Vision has more than a dozen staff members. Doctoral degree holders account for 23% and master degree holders accounts for 59% of the employees.

Most of the core members are professionals graduated from Tsinghua University and experts in the National Thousand Talents Program of China.

Founder Dr. Michael Song has been deeply involved in the optics plus algorithms field for many years and was a researcher at NEC China Research Institute. He was the only Chinese Turing Award winner.
