The funding will be used to further advance the company’s ASIC one-stop design solution and SoC platform technologies and products on SMIC’s advanced processes.

Founded in 2008, Brite Semiconductor is a provider of application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) design solutions.

The company provides clients with double data rate (DDR) memory controllers, PHY chips, silicon platform solutions, and other advanced chip design solutions, enabling clients in various industries including consumer electronics, IoT, wearable devices, communications, and computers to have reliable and high quality chips.

In 2010, Brite Semiconductor formed a strategic alliance with SMIC, and developed its own branded “YOU” series of IP and silicon platform solutions based on SMIC’s process.
