In response to the US suppression and blockade, Huawei has quietly launched a project called “Nanniwan” this month, according to media reports.

The plan is aimed to avoid the application of American technology in the process of manufacturing end products in order to accelerate the “de-Americanization” of the supply chain.

The reason why Huawei named this project “Nanniwan” is that the deep meaning behind it is “hope to achieve self-sufficiency in production during the difficult period.”

At present, Huawei’s laptops, smart screens and IoT home smart products have been included in the “Nanniwan” project and will be the first to become “products that are completely unaffected by the United States.”

The Chinese army once reclaimed land in Nanniwan in Shaanxi Province in the 1940s to satisfy self-sufficiency in food and other supplies.
