Beijing to promote ‘blockchain + governmental service’ to enhance efficiency

Beijing has been vigorously promoting blockchain applications in governmental services with relevant departments, aiming to further improve the business environment as well as to enhance the efficiency and quality of government services.

Beijing Municipal Service Administration has been vigorously promoting the construction of blockchain applications in governmental services with relevant departments, aiming to further improve the business environment as well as to enhance the efficiency and quality of government services.

At present, there are 140 applications for specific governmental service scenarios that have been implemented, which can reduce paper work by sharing data, save time by connecting business, and help resume production by effectively communicated services.

The blockchain applications have cut the paper materials down by 40% and the times for coming around from five or six to one.

Through storing the digital information of the frequently used certificates or licenses in the “chain”, enterprises can handle 253 affairs, and individuals can handle 65 affairs without bringing the physical documents in Beijing. In this way, 100,000 documents can be saved every year.

Besides, Beijing has also set up an initial loan service center, and launched a service platform for the confirmation of rights for the SMEs, a platform for the blockchain financial service, and an electronic identity information authentication system to help the SMEs to finance more easily, which can save 80% of the trouble for enterprises to fill the documents, and 40% of the time for opening a new account in a bank.

What’s more, Beijing has successfully piloted the application of blockchain financial electronic bills in the areas such as medical treatment and donation.
