On August 12, StreamNative, an open source streaming data company, announced the completion of its Pre-A round worth millions of US dollars.

The round was led by Source Code Capital. StreamNative received an angel round of investment from Sequoia Seed Fund at the early stage of its establishment, and Sequoia also participated in the company’s Pre-A round.

Proceeds from this round of funding will be used to accelerate StreamNative’s product development, open source community and ecosystem building efforts. StreamNative will also release a cloud-based product based on Apache Pulsar in the coming months.

Founded in early 2019, StreamNative is an open source foundation software company formed by the core developers of the Apache Software Foundation’s top projects Apache Pulsar™️, Apache BookKeeper™️.

Building a next-generation streaming data platform around Apache Pulsar and Apache BookKeeper, the company is currently the only startup in the world formed by the original core developers of the Pulsar and BookKeeper projects.
