On August 12, the State Council issued opinions on what to do to further stabilize foreign trade and foreign investment.

According to the opinions, the government should provide more support on the basis of various preferential policies in taxes, administrative fees, export credits, employment, and consumption of electricity and water, to the labor-intensive export-oriented enterprises in the sectors of textiles, clothing, furniture, shoes, plastic products, luggage, toys, stone, agricultural products, consumer electronics, and etc.

The opinions also propose to facilitate the certification management and service of high-tech enterprises, by organizing more training and publicity activities to the foreign investment enterprises of how to apply for the certification of high-tech enterprises, and increasing the services to enterprises in emergency sectors including epidemic prevention and control, in order to attract more foreign investment to the areas concerning high tech and people’s livelihood and health.
