DiDi to roll out freight service in 6 more cities including Shanghai and Chongqing

On August 18, Didi Huoyun, the cargo shipping service provider under DiDi, announced the plan to launch service in six more cities including Shanghai, Chongqing, Nanjing, Suzhou, Ningbo and Jinhua.

From August 21, users of Didi Chuxing App in the above six cities can place orders for freight services through the “Cargo Shipping” module on the app.

On June 23, DiDi first launched the Didi Huoyun to start business of cargo shipping. According to the data released by Didi Huoyun, the orders for freight service exceeded 10,000 on the first day of the business. As of late July, the daily order volume has exceeded 20,000, which doubles compared to the first day record.

With such momentum, Didi Huoyun continues to expand to six more cities in less than two months after its first launch.

According to the relevant person in charge of the freight business, Didi Huoyun has achieved good results in the first batch of cities like Hangzhou and Chengdu. Meanwhile, Didi Huoyun has been continuously optimizing its products and services through collecting online user feedbacks, communicating with DiDi drivers and merchant partners.

Currently, Didi Huoyun is also preparing for the launch in other cities besides the above six cities.
