On August 25, Dongfeng Motor announced that it will join forces with WeRide.ai, Deeproute.ai, UISEE, AutoX and other autonomous driving companies to establish the country’s largest autonomous driving network in the Wuhan Development Zone.

This is expected to carry out demonstrations of smart travel scenarios (RoboTaxi/valet parking AVP), using shared travel platforms such as Dongfeng Chuxing to explore the commercial operation model of autonomous driving.

Dongfeng’s autonomous driving pilot project is expected to launch at least 200 autonomous vehicles within two years, building the country’s largest autonomous driving fleet.

Specifically, from 2020 to 2022, Dongfeng will gradually launch no less than 200 autonomous vehicles, expanding the national intelligent and connected vehicles (Wuhan) test demonstration area from the Wuhan Development Zone to the core urban area of Wuhan.
